Mrs. Danno
Career: I started teaching art in 2003 after I graduated from the University of Missouri. I've shared my passion for art with students in the suburban Chicago area throughout my career and became the art teacher at Grande Park Elementary in 2014. In 2013 I completed my Master's in Educational Technology from Concordia University. My students are always ready to be challenged with new art techniques and push me to be a better art teacher every day.
Philosophy: I encourage critical thinking while fostering a sense of imagination and creativity. Although I focus on the Fine Arts, many of my projects also promote cross-curricular skills and other subject matter: science, social studies, math, and literacy.
Personal Life: Both my husband and I grew up in the Naperville area and still live there today, raising our two young girls. In my spare time I love to sew, crochet, and play with my girls.
